For those who would like to delve a little deeper, we’re offering a ‘hands-on’ introductory course in herbal medicine with Registered Herbalist Rebecca Graves. Over 4 classes, students will be introduced to the theory of herbal medicine, explore the healing properties of regional wild plants, and make several types of herbal remedies for their own use.
July 15, class 1: The taste of herbs: herbal actions, harvesting and drying herbs, infusions and decoctions, herbs for stress
July 29, class 2: Coughs and colds: herbs for the respiratory and immune systems, herbal honey
August 12, class 3: Digestive woes: herbs for the digestive system, herbal tinctures and acetracts.
August 26, class 4: Cuts, scrapes, bug bites and rashes: herbs for the skin, herbal salve
Dates: Classes are held every other Saturday: July 15, 29, August 12, 26
Time: 10 am – 2pm

Cost: $425 – medicine making materials are included.
