This course introduces the theory of herbal medicine, while exploring the healing properties of regional wild plants, as well as practical medicine making. Students will make several types of herbal herbal remedies for their own use.

Class 1: The taste of herbs: herbal actions, harvesting and drying herbs, infusions and decoctions, herbs for stress
Class 2: Coughs and colds: herbs for the respiratory and immune systems, herbal honey
Class 3: Digestive woes: herbs for the digestive system, herbal tinctures and acetracts.
Class 4: Cuts, scrapes, bug bites and rashes: herbs for the skin, herbal salve
Dates: Classes are held on Sundays, June 23, July 7, July 14, July 21
Note: There is no class on the Canada Day long weekend.
Time: 1:00pm - 4:30pm

Cost: $425 – medicine making materials are included.
